Hey everyone,
One week from today, my band, Molly Does Not Approve will be performing at R Bar, down on the Bowery (1 block south of Houston). My band will be providing the backup for what can only be described as pure insanity: jugglers, burlesque dancers, and pole dancers. I know it's going to be a great show because of how excited all the performers are. I've never felt this kind of a buzz from the performers before a show before, and these folks are not just amateurs: the pole dancers, for example, teach pole dancing and are regular winners of local and national competitions, and are regularly featured at Galapagos art space in brooklyn. This will be a terrific chance to see them in a much smaller and more intimate setting. The juggler is a professional who will also be performing that night at a private event for the NBA Draft after party, and the burlesque performers are a fantastic set of performers who have been performing around town individually and just formed a new troupe.
9 dancers in all, if you count the juggler! (We might get a 10th, I'm trying to book a belly dancer, too)

What's most exciting for me is that our band is providing the music for for the performers, so it's kind of a dream gig!
I will bring flyers to the meetup. Each flyer will get two people in for only $10.
