Looking forward to seeing all who can come to the Wed, September 7, meeting at the historic Wright Tavern by the flagpole at center of Concord.
We will start with a social at 7 PM. Bring a little nourishment to share if you would like. Program will start at 7:30 PM.
We will hear from Jonathan Figdor Assistant Humanist Chaplain at Harvard University. Topic will be his "Confessions of a Humanist Chaplain". He will talk about his pathway to Humanism, from his childhood in liberal, heavily Jewish NY, to his education at the most godless college in America, to his student career as the first Atheistic Humanist in Harvard Divinity School's history, to his (not so secret) plans to establish another prestigious Humanist Chaplaincy built on the Harvard Humanist model. There will be time for discussion afterwards. The formal part of the meeting will finish at 9 PM. We can then have informal dsicussion while clearing up and leaving by 9:30 PM.
