Friends of Conscious Living

Welcome to your FRIENDS OF CONSCIOUS LIVING.

We are a combination of 2 groups.

The first one is a group of people seeking to live more consciously by intention. To foster this, we meet to discuss and share our experiences and insights in open conversations or presentations by members of our circle and friends from other circles. Our topics are diverse, many of an esoteric nature, many of a practical nature. We are inspired by the works of Caroline Myss, Thomas Moore, Sri Aurobindo, Ervin Laszlo, Rupert Sheldrake, Rosie Kuhn, Ken Wilber and many others. Our purpose is to continue the conversations and momentum that lead to the expanding and evolving human consciousness, that is growing in the present time. Our region is ripe for these conversations. There are several meet-up groups that are addressing similar topics, and we are seeking to expand upon this awakening with our own. You are invited to suggest any topics you feel would be of interest. You may do the presenting, or have another. You are also invited to be a host for a meet-up session or a workshop etc.

The second group will focus upon the fostering of an Institute, to embody Spirit, intellect, and wisdom in service to individuals, communities and the Earth. Our dream is to have classes, workshops, and perhaps a yearly conference that connects all parts of our diverse community together. We will strive to connect Humanists, Philosophers, Spiritual Teachers and Practitioners of all world traditions, as well as alternative and conventional healing modalities, music and the arts. To support our Unity of Purpose, we will build a network of like-minded/like-hearted citizens interested in empowering each other in the transformational times we find ourselves in at the moment.

We shall use the examples of Calif. Inst. of Integral Studies, (CIIS) the Inst. of Transpersonal Psychology, (ITP), Naropa, JFK University, IONS, and others that will be useful, to mold our new institute, based in Portland, Oregon. I invite you to add what ever your gifts are to this endeavor.

The actual name for this future Institute will emerge as is the time for it to. Meanwhile, I will be guiding us all along this process of dreaming and planning, with my skills and expertise as a Transpersonal Psychologist and Ontological Life Coach.
