Macros & Mimosas!!!

Macros & Mimosa!
A Photography Mix & Mingle Presented by Calumet Photo

Sunday April 14th 11am to 2pm, Calumet Store
Join us for an early Sunday afternoon as Calumet hosts the California Academy of Science's Naturalist Center and Conservation Photography Meetup Group in our first ever off-site Specimen Spotlight. Calumet technical experts will set up all the lighting in their studio classroom and supply a limited number of macro lenses for you to try out as you learn the principles of Macro Photography. The naturalist center will provide specimens for five stations: (1) Bugs - Butterflies & Beetles (2) Rocks - Gems & Minerals (3) Skulls- Mammals & Mysteries (4) Reptiles - Turtles & Lizards (5) Aquatic- Sea Shells & Coral. We will have a photo critique station where you can project your images and get feedback from our technical experts and learn about macro mechanics, lighting, depth of field and more. This program is designed as a Meetup for you to socialize with other photographers with an interest in the natural world.

Reservations: This program is presented and hosted by Calumet at their downtown store. Space is limited and RSVP is absolutely required. This is a 21+ event. Please reserve your space today by joining our Conservation Photography Meetup Group and reserving your spot. The $10 RSVP fee will help Calumet offset the costs of Delicious Mimosas! If you live in the city, please consider taking public transportation or carpooling as there is limited onsite parking. (If you have macro lenses you would be willing to bring and share with the group, it would be greatly appreciated.)

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
