It means exposing others to images and wilderness they may not otherwise witness. When I'm out with children seeing the ocean, snow, an old-growth redwood, etc., for the first time, I feel blessed to experience the joy with them. So many of us never have the opportunity to experience open country and wild places. Photography allows us to share these places with others and hopefully inspire their protection and conservation. “The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.” ~W.B. Yeats
Landscapes, children, and wildlife
Nikon D90. I also sometimes use an Olympus Stylus 8010 Tough (point and shoot) for underwater and snow stuff. I miss using my Canon FTb with slide film.
I work in environmental enforcement and volunteer taking inner city kids on wilderness trips. I've been our group's photogapher and love sharing images and stories of our trips.
