Welcome to the photography social group from the California Academy of Sciences. We are a group of photographers who love the natural world and enjoy spending time together taking pictures, learning to take better pictures and working on ways that our images can make a difference for the natural world.
Typically, pressing the shutter defines the photographer with planning and execution culminating in the photograph. A conservation photographer’s work begins once they click the shutter. It’s what you do with these images that matters as it takes you into the active role of effecting conservation for the natural world.
