This group is for anyone who deals with content. That’s user experience designers, information architects, web writers and editors, web developers and technologists, marketers, communications pros, community managers, product managers, publishers, entrepreneurs, and content strategists of all stripes.
We set up this group to allow professionals from all backgrounds with an interest in content strategy to share ideas and learn from each other in an informal environment.
If we’re going to help our organisations to make the changes required to get control of their content, we need to collaborate with people from many disciplines, with many job titles, and many positions on the org chart. So it's vital that we spend as much time talking to people as we do working on our audits, messaging architectures, and metadata schemas.
So whenever we organise a meetup, along with the "official" presentation, we make sure to allocate a large chunk of time to socialising, talking, and yes, drinking.
