Home Cooking Party - Tastes of Brazil

What better way to spend a Sunday evening than sharing great Brazilian food with a small group of people at a casual home party. The party will be at a house in the University City/UTC area.

This event will be a combination potluck/hands-on cooking party. We will prepare a main dish and dessert together and everyone will bring a home-cooked dish to share. This is a great opportunity to try out a new recipe - if it does not turn out well, that's ok, as there will be plenty of other food at the party. Prepare a sufficent quantity so that 13 people can sample the dish. Here are two websites with Brazilian recipes - select from a recipe here or find a different recipe:

We will likely prepare a fish dish with rice together.

Note: This event is open only to those who did not attend the last Greek party, to give others a chance to attend a party. If there are not enough attendees, I will open it up later to previous Greek party participants. This is truly a hands-on cooking event, so plan on helping with both cooking and clean up.

We will provide non-alcoholic beverages. Feel free to bring your own alcoholic beverages if you would like.

Space is limited, so if you want to attend you should RSVP as soon as possible. If you want to attend but there are no spots remaining, you can add your name to the Wait list. It is common for spots to open up later, so I encourage you to add your name to the Wait list.

You will need to pay the fee within 1 day of your "Yes" RSVP, or your name will be removed to allow others to attend. When you have selected a recipe to prepare, indicate what you will be bringing in the Comments section of your RSVP. Please send me the recipe/link before the event.

I look forward to seeing everyone. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions.

My apologies for taking so long to upload the pictures! But here they are, finally! Thanks again to Andrew for being such a gracious host, and thanks to everyone for their tasty dishes.

It was a wonderful evening with a nice group of people. Robin
did a great job of organizing and everyone brought some delicious
Brazilian dishes. I learned several cooking tips and took home some
great recipes. I loved the main fish dish.
