Fellow member Jenn has volunteered to host a hands-on RAVIOLI making class in her home in Sellwood.

The  "party" starts at 2:00 and Jenn will guide you through making 2 kinds of ravioli.  She is shooting for 2 different cheese ravioli recipes and possible a butternut squash if she can find some nice ones at the market.

After the class, you will sit down and enjoy and nice POTLUCK dinner.  Each attendee must pick one course to bring to the class....ready to serve with m aybe only a little last minute finishing off.  When you pick your course...you MUST post it for all to see to avoid duplication.

Each guest needs to choose 1 of the following to bring:

1.   Fresh bread/garlic bread

2.  Appetizer

3.   Salad

4.   HOMEMADE pasta sauce

5.   Dessert

Also....it is a bring your own beverage event, so please bring whatever you would like to drink along with the idea to share....

Fee for the event is $9.00........one HECK OF DEAL.....as opposed to $75 at "In Good Taste" or "Sur la Table"~~!  Fee is refundable if event is cancelled or rescheduled.

Thank you Jenn for hosting for our group for what I am sure is going to be a fun and delcious afternoon!  I just bought my first pasta maker this year and THERE IS A DIFFERNCE between fresh and store bought!!

Hope you can join Jenn in her kitchen~!

Jenn will email all guests a few days before with her address in Sellwood (SE Portland).

    Hi All,

I have never been to something like this before. Will I be making my own ravioli or just watching Jenn make it? The reason I ask is I am gluten free and can bring my own ingredients if necessary.

My plan is to teach the participants in a hands on manner. Everyone should have the opportunity to make raviolis. Making good pasta dough can be tricky, so that will be the majority of what the time is spent on. I've never tried to make gluten free pasta dough before, but if you have a recipe you have used before, we can certainly try it.

I can bring a salad - and, or anything else - a "white" sauce?

I should mention that I'm a vegetarian and would prefer (but not require) that the items brought to the potluck are veggie friendly.
