Cookbook Club and Happy Hour~~"The Devil in the Kitchen"

"There hasn't been a food memoir this deliciously wicked since Anthony Bourdain's Kitchen Confidential"---The Portland Oregonian

Join me for another wonderful book club session as we discuss "The Devil in the Kitchen....sex, pain, madness and the making of a great chef"

The Devil in the Kitchen is legendary Marco Pierre White's memoir of growing up working-class in Leeds and going on to become a KING in the culinary world--the original celebrity chef.  The FIRST British chef (and the youngest ANYWHERE) to win THREE Michelin stars--and also the only one to give them all back--is equally known for his astonishing talent and for being a chain-smoking, pot-throwing enfant terrible of the kitchen (Yes, he did make Gordon Ramsey cry). In The Devil in the Kitchen, he takes readers on a revealing and raucous ride, featuring some of the biggest names in the food world and beyond.  It's truly a decadent feast for anyone who loves food or just a great story.

So.....here's how we will "roll":

1.   Meetup up PROMPTLY at 5:15 at the Petite Provence.

2.    Please have read the book in it's ENTIRETY.....just does't work if participants have not read the entire book.  The Devil in the Kitchen can be purchased on Amazon used or new and as is also available through Kindle.....or possibly for rent at the local library?

3.     You must have a recognizable picture of yourself on the website so I know who to look for.....Newbies are welcome....so don't be shy :-)~~

5.     Fee is $7.50.  $5.00 will be handed back to you at the event.  2.50 goes to cover web and meetup fees as I don't charge yearly or "joining fee"......This also helps GREATLY reduce "the dreaded no-shows".....thanks for understanding :-).

Petite Provence serves an extensive array of small plates for HH...all at 5.95 to 6.95.  Items such as Grilled Romaine and Shrimp, Calamars Fris, Caquilles Saint-Jacques, Tuna Nicoise Stack, Columbia River Steelhead Filet, Boeuf Bourguignon, Chicken Cordon Bleu, Porc Medaillons a la Tomate, Petite Beef Madallions, Escargot Romero, French Onion Soup, Petite Savory Crepes, Canapes Francois, Croquettes, Cheese Plate, Roasted Beet Salad, and more......Sounds amazing, yes?  HH wine is 5.00 per glass

Hope you can come out and join us......our Cookbook Club discussions are ALWAYS very fun, inclusive and DELICIOUS~~!!

Salud~~
