Coreyoke: Live Band Karaoke with three guys named Corey! Message Board › Mondays at Universal Citywalk
Hello. Corey here from Coreyoke, spamming you to attend the show this Monday.**
For the past three weeks, we've been at Universal Citywalk in the Jon Lovitz Comedy club and I am here to tell you that if you want to feel like a rockstar or just sing with a GREAT SOUND SYSTEM in a GREAT VENUE, this is the gig to attend. I played in an original band there when it was BB Kings' and it sounds BETTER now than it did then. Go figure.
We go on at 9pm on the dot (okay, sometimes 9:15) and play until everyone's had their turn (or midnight, whichever comes first) and it is a blast. Really.
Sure, the Happy Ending is fine and all that, BUT, we have never had a better time than our Mondays at the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club. WHY? In addition to a KILLER SOUND SYSTEM where you can hear yourself and the audience can hear you sing, the staff is awesome and there to help you and the drinks are 1/2 price alllll night. Plus, the food, which is basic bar-menu, is DEEELICIOUS! I recommend the Turkey Burger Sliders. Hoo ha!!! They are like a sweet, perfect Corey Guitar Solo on a bun.
The stage is raised... it's 4-5 feet above the floor so you feel like a full-on rock star when singing. And, if you want, there is someone there to shoot you singing, edit it right there and then present you with a killer DVD of your performance.
I implore you to come to the show this Monday. I may beg you soon. If you valet park after 8pm, it is only 3 measly bucks.
If you've ever sung with us at the Happy Ending and had a difficult time hearing yourself, you WILL NOT have that problem at the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club. I mean it: this is a show you do not want to miss out on.
**I get lots of email that I don't want, and I understand. If you want me to take you off the Coreyoke mailing list, just drop me a line and I'm happy to do it. In the words of mr. paul hewson "i don't mean to boog ya!". If you think you may hurt our feelings, and don't want to tell me, you can go to meetup.com and remove yourself from the mailing list, too. It's in email settings. But you won't hurt our feelings! Have you seen the reviews for Dream a Little Dream II ?
