Second Saturday Green Lake Walk - Jingle Bell Walk

Back, by popular demand.

Seeing as it is the Christmas Season lets get in the spirit and put jingle bells and/or bows on our corgis if they will let us.

A once a month walk around Green Lake. Let's gather on the second Saturday of each month to celebrate Corginess. We can do a lap (or two for those needing to get really tired out). This is a central location and able to accomodate many.  We can gather for coffee before or lunch afterwards, but plan on starting the walk at 10am and spending an hour or two walking.  (extreme weather will cancel, normal Seattle rain - probably not).

ABOUT THE PARK

Green Lake is one of Seattle’s most beloved parks. Its expanse of water and green space in the center of a dense urban neighborhood draws thousands of people daily from all over the city. The park serves as a natural preserve for hundreds of species of trees and plants, as well as numerous birds and waterfowl. The newly reconstructed 2.8-mile path around the lake provides a perfect recreational spot for runners, bikers, skaters and walkers. Many others use the athletic fields or visit the park for boating, picnics and swimming. Also, make sure to visit the Green Lake Small Craft Center.

Thanks for coming out and helping to spread some joy. If I didn't have to get back to work I would have done another lap. Have a happy holiday and see you next month. I may post a New Year's Day meetup weather depending do keep an eye out.

Rosie had the best time today with all of her Corgi friends. She topped off the walk with a dip in the lake. Cold and refreshing, just how she likes it. Until next time...

We begin walking at ten am and walk counterclockwise (lake to our left). If you are running late you can pick us up somewhere along the route. Looks like it will be foggy but dry. See you in the morning

The pathway of lights is Saturday night so we may encounter some people setting up for this but I can not see any other events planned for Green Lake Saturday morning. If anybody does, please let us know.
Be aware that there is additional parking in the Woodland Park lot just a short walk from where we meet if you have difficulty finding parking.
Get ready to spread some joy. See you all Saturday. :)

Jingle Bells, reindeer antlers, red bows, candy canes. Let's get in the spirit of the season and make ourselves and our corgis festive.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
