Second Saturday Green Lake Walk

Back, by popular demand.

A once a month walk around Green Lake. Let's gather on the second Saturday of each month to celebrate Corginess. We can do a lap (or two for those needing to get really tired out). This is a central location and able to accomodate many.  We can gather for coffee before or lunch afterwards, but plan on starting the walk at 10am and spending an hour or two walking.  (extreme weather will cancel, normal Seattle rain - probably not).

Green Lake is one of Seattle’s most beloved parks. Its expanse of water and green space in the center of a dense urban neighborhood draws thousands of people daily from all over the city. The park serves as a natural preserve for hundreds of species of trees and plants, as well as numerous birds and waterfowl. The newly reconstructed 2.8-mile path around the lake provides a perfect recreational spot for runners, bikers, skaters and walkers. Many others use the athletic fields or visit the park for boating, picnics and swimming. Also, make sure to visit the Green Lake Small Craft Center.

If parking is an issue today, don't forget about woodland park parking area and just a short walk down to green lake

Please make sure you check this site before leaving in the morning. If snow I will cancel, but I don't think that will happen. Meet at the rowing stands and we start walking pretty much right at 10 or 10:05. We walk counter clockwise around the lake ( lake to our left ) so if you are running late you can pick us up somewhere along the way. We do try to stop at the community centre half way round for a group photo. Drive safe and see you in the morning,
