St Patricks Day Parade - Edmonds Waterfront

St Patrick - The most celebrated Welshman in America?

So you thought the day belonged to the Irish Wolfhounds and the Irish Terriers?  Did you know the St Patrick was born in Britain and some historians believe his actual birthplace was Wales?

Leprechauns the symbol of St Patty's day.  I think not. The Mythical, Mischievious Welsh Dwarf Dog should accurately represent this Sainted Day.

The St. Patrick's Day custom arrived in America in 1737, that being the first year it was publicly celebrated in Boston. Most Americans, and other folk across the world, assume that Patrick was Irish: not so, many scholars believe he was Welshman!

Let's celebrate with a parade on the promenade along the Edmonds Waterfront. Starting at the Off-Leash Dog Park parking lot we will strut our stuff along the marina and Sunset avenue.  We will have a leash walk for about an hour and then those wanting to can hit the dog beach for playtime.  Low tide is at 11:51 so you should have plenty of room to romp.

Follow Edmonds Ferry Signs
Turn west on Dayton St, proceed to Admiral Way.
Turn south on Admiral Way, go to the end.
Dog park is south of Marina Beach.

Could be wet so come prepared. Meet in the parking lot by the off leash area. Look for my blue Hyundai Tucson. Please respect the no dogs in park area by keeping your dogs off the park lawn area.
We will have a leash walk along the waterfront, hopefully for an hour if the weather isn't terrible and then you can have an off leash romp at the dog beach.

Silly me. As it turns out, I bent over to pick up a bag and twisted my back. I'm flat out on the couch, won't be going anywhere I don't think. :-(

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
