Second Saturday Green Lake Walk

A once a month walk around Green Lake. Let's gather on the second Saturday of each month to celebrate Corginess. We can do a lap (or two for those needing to get really tired out). This is a central location and able to accomodate many.  We can gather for coffee before or lunch afterwards, but plan on starting the walk at 10am and spending an hour or two walking.  (extreme weather will cancel, normal Seattle rain - probably not).

Who's making the corgi boat for next year? Thanks for coming out and beating the heat and the crowds. Stay cool and see you all soon.

It was my first walk and I LOVED IT! I wish it were every week. My puppy got a lot of exposure and got to chill with her own breed and distant cousin breed.

Let's meet at the Woodland Park Parking lot off of 50th St near Whitman. There is a big gravel parking lot there and it should be easier to find everybody. We will then take a short walk through the park before heading down to the walk around Green Lake. Hopefully this way we will avoid the congestion that is around the boating center because of the milk carton derby. This worked out best for us last year.
I will probably go against the norm and actually walk clockwise around the lake this one time. See you in the morning. Make sure you give yourself extra time for the extra traffic in the area on this date.

FYI - milk Carton Derby is this Saturday. Leave in plenty of time for parking

thanks for the update, syrinda. we walked this last year during the milk carton derby. I changed the meeting place to the woodland park parking lot and had no problems finding spots there then. will probably do the same this year. look for an update Friday.

Hello! Being new to Seattle, I know where Greenlake is, but not sure where the rowing stands are? Are they on the south side of the lake?

Upon the advice of a couple of Whidbey island residents, I am changing this double bluff walk back into a Green Lake walk. If somebody wants to host a Double Bluff outing on another weekend, please let me know and I can post, but my weekends are pretty much booked up for the summer. If this affects your RSVP please change. Sorry for this change, double bluff is fun for the corgis to play but ferry waits not so much.
