Paws Walk

Can you spot the corgi in the picture above?  Do you know who it is?

It's Time to Register for PAWSwalk!

This summer, join with hundreds of other animal lovers and raise much-needed funds for homeless, helpless and abandoned animals by registering for PAWSwalk.

We've made fundraising for cats, dogs and wildlife so easy. Just register here and then e-mail your friends, family, co-workers—everyone who loves animals and everyone who wants to see them sheltered, fed and safe.

The easy e-mailing system found here lets you blast your friends, asking for their support. Registration, donations and even building a team (can anyone say "Colleagues for a Cause"?) can happen right here. And your employer may match your gift, doubling your team's efforts!

PAWSwalk is a great way to show you care about animals, and an easy way to invite your friends to get involved in one of the most fun fundraisers of the year.

Register now at PAWSwalk.net and get started. Woof!

I was just about to sign up and it asked if I want to start a team. Can I start a Team Corgi?

Hi. Sorry but this doesn't have to do with the walk. But I'm getting ready to take my 8 week old corgi puppy home soon and am still looking for a good vet around the eastside/Seattle area. Can some of you give me some recommendations? But I would love to participate in future events as soon as my little Fox (her name) gets all her shots!

We really like the Cat & Dog Clinic of Bellevue. It was highly recommended by other pet owners in our neighborhood and we have been very happy so far.

I will try to get there early and get a sign for us, then meet by the main tables -- if you don't see a sign, just look for the corgis! As for whether it'll be going on at 10:30, here is the schedule of events:
•8:00 a.m. - Walker Check-in, Vendor Booths, Agility Area and Kids Zone open.
•10:00 a.m. - Start walking! Then stay for more fun activities!
•10:30 a.m. - Pours for PAWS begins! Join us at the beer garden for a refreshing beer or mimosa.
    •1:00 p.m. - Event ends.

And yes, we're only $100 from our team goal! Let's blow past that mark.

To answer your question first posed Andy, the famous Corgi spokesdoggie is Vincent!! The cropped eared Corgi. Him and his person are the leading team with over $5,000 raised!!! Come on team Corgies R Us!! Just a few hundred shy of our team goal! Corgi on!!

Here are some notes from my recent efforts: It seems I failed to record sign in info for my first join the team effort and PAWS support team could only help so much. So I registered again and--feeling some urgency to get contributions--wrote my own funny note asking for donations. It's working! I also offered homemade/craft bookmarks for any size donation from my friends--which I'm now designing. (My motto may be: talk first, act later. :-0 )

that's close too-- darn it. Thorgi's trick training class is at 9 am for the next 8 weeks. He's busy learning while he's still a youngster-- in agility too. Have fun everyone - that's one we're sorry to miss for sure!

Yes there is a team already created. It's called Corgis R Us. You should be able to search for it and join the team at http://www.pawswalk.n.... :-)

I suggest we meet somewhere around the check in tables. Andy, they'll give you a nice laminated Corgis R Us sign on a stick when you check in if you created our team. :-)
