Re: [corgi-102] A Few Reminders for the Winter Party

Theresa,

Sorry I haven't responded about possible trades, seems with holidays we've had so much going on.  Our guy (Cooper) is 2 and is just a sweet boy and our baby.  He will play if you will let him (he is a great soccer player and it is a driving force for him) or take a nap if no one wants to play.  He is around our daughter's small dog and is friendly.  Sounds like you feel the same about your Corgi as we do about ours.  Do you think he would be comfortable with another boy Corgi in his space for a period?

We are taking a vacation Feb. 14 - 21st.  Don't know if that is too long a time to consider a visitor, but, if you might be interested, we'd love to meet with you.  We live in East Renton above the Cedar River.  Our yard is fenced and almost an acre, our house is fairly large and our dog has the run of it.  We are two almost (my husband still works a bit at his company) retired people in our early 60's, so if we baby-sit yours, he will get plenty of loving attention.

If this doesn't work out, maybe we can check out Canine Comfort Corner.  We left him with a woman last year who had so many dogs on the property, he came home dirty and so tired he slept for two days. I'm not feeling good about leaving him there again, as it was presented to be different (when we toured the place) than it turned out to be.

No pressure, just checking in to see if you might be interested.

Thanks,
Carolyn Anderson

We take ours to a place in Bothell, Canine Comfort Corner, that is really good.  It?s a smaller place, and they have a lot of (fenced) outdoor space as well.

However, I personally would be interested in your suggestion of ?trading? time.  Our Corgi is also 2, and he is also an ?only? dog and our ?child.?  We too have a large, fenced backyard, two teenage girls and us who would give lots of love.  Plus someone for our ?only? would be a lot of fun (without the responsibility of actually adding another dog full time).  Where are you located?  We?re in Bellevue.

Hi,

We've enjoyed hearing about all the Corgi outings.  We haven't been able to attend this year due to family illness.  But, we are now going to start getting out more with our corgi, Cooper.

I have a question - does anyone know of a good place to leave your Corgi when traveling?  Ours is an "only" dog, and he (and we) thinks he's our child (he's two).  We've have used Pet Vacations, and it was Ok, but there were so many dogs there, and we hoped for a place with more one on one with one (or two) Corgi's.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  We are open to taking another corgi while their owner is away, if we could leave ours once in a while.  We have a large fenced yard and give lot's of TLC.

Thanks and hope to get to an outing soon.

Is the gift exchange for people or the dogs???  Seems like a silly question, but I thought I?d ask!
