Alexi,

See below & get in touch with Mary directly.

If this doesn’t work out, there was a lot of interest in your dog on various corgi groups. I’m happy to help facilitate a connection. I didn’t want to send out your information publicly without your permission.

Washington Corgi Meetup is a group whose members were interested in Ellie: https://www.facebook.com/groups/667367520073718/

Corgi’s R Us is a group on Meetup, which is where I heard of Ellie. There were many there interested in her as well.

We normally don't do mixed breeds, but sometimes I get people who just want a small dog.  If you can send me his picture and fill out the adoption application on the Cascade Pembroke Welsh Corgi Clubs web site I might be able to help.  No promises.

Mary

Mary – I learned of this dog’s desperate rehoming situation via a Rabbit Rescue group in Olympia, and am putting you in touch with the owner, Alexi.

Alexi – I wish you all the best with finding a home for Ellie. God speed. <3

► Dog Rescue ► Message to North Olympic Rabbit Rescue | Alexi Aguilar

Good afternoon,

My name is Alexi Aguilar. I have a two year old basette corgi mix who's name is Ellie. She loves her family very much but can be very over protective. She was adopted from the Tacoma Washington Humane Society in 2015 at one year old. When I adopted her she showed signs of abuse but I hoped placing her in a loving home would rehabilitate her scared behavior. I am currently in the U.S. Army and have to move back on post in the military barracks, where I am not allowed to have a dog. So now a year later I tried bringing her back to the humane society to re-home her. Unfortunately Ellie was scared and showed aggression towards the staff after I dropped her off. They called me to pick her up or she would be put down. So I am currently paying a friend to hold her for me because I didn't want the humane society putting her down. I am now looking for every possible place that can help me because I know what a great and loving dog she can be with time and patience. Also I am sure she was terrified when we dropped her off at the humane society and the shelter environment caused her fearful behavior. Ellie is a happy dog who loves the park, she also loves her friend scooter who is a 10lb dachshund, she is potty trained, and also is crate trained. I need to find a safe place that will see this beautiful dogs personality and knows how to love her. I can't imagine putting such a loving dog down because she was scared.

Please help Ellie,
Alexi Aguilar
