Corgi Holiday party

We discussed it at one of the Woof Gang meetups, now it has to happen. Rachel and I want to host a Corgi Holiday party.

Here's our thoughts. Lets do this similar to the corgi picnic, everybody bring a dish and we'll setup in the house. We've got a nice fenced in back yard for the dogs to play in, with quite a few toys, and a large deck for us all to hang out on while the dogs play.

We're thinking that we should do a Corgi gift exchange, everybody bring a toy, every dog leaves with a toy. We're also thinking about taking donations for the Wake County ASPCA, but we've got to look into that more.

All are welcome, and as always the more Corgis the merrier!

What is everyone bringing for food? I don't want to duplicate something if its already being brought/made. =)

We'll have bacon wrapped hotdogs, pizza rolls, cheese dip, and some cupcakes, plus a little bit of candy as well. We'll also have water and sodas.

I'm bringing some kind of chicken, shrimp or beef entree but haven't figured out what yet. And I may bring a gluten-free dessert.

If anyone is interested in sharing a ride to Hunter and Rachel's from North Raleigh, I have room in my van for 1, possibly 2 passengers and 1-3 Corgis (and crates if you have them - I also have a couple extra crates I can bring if needed)

We're only 1 week away from the party! You all are "corg-ally" invited! (see what I did there?) Just wanted to let everyone know that you guys are free to park in our driveway or our front yard, as well as alongside our street. You won't be able to miss our house- we affectionately call it "tacky town" with all of our decorations, but if you need help, please let us know! We are looking forward to seeing you all soon!

We'll also be collecting supplies for the Wake County SPCA here is a list of items they'll take: http://www.spcawake.org/site/DocServer/Wish_List_8.14.13.pdf?docID=5541

If you need help finding our house, please let us know. We have a "Benson" address but we're really just outside Garner- we're about 20 minutes from downtown Raleigh.

Hunter, Zena and I are so excited to be hosting this event and we can't wait to welcome you into our home- and backyard!

Hello everyone! Just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and your furry children and wanted to update you on our Holiday Party next week! We will be providing some food- pasta salad, bacon-wrapped cocktail weenies, cupcakes, and chips with cheese dip as well as canned sodas and bottled water. We ask that you guys bring a dish to share as well! There is a Bojangles at our exit off I-40 (exit 319) so if someone wanted to stop and get chicken and biscuits and tea that would be awesome! We could probably use another dessert and some more appetizers as well!

We also recommend bringing your own chair- we have a few extras for people to sit in outside but I'm not sure we have enough for everyone. If your dog would like to participate in the toy exchange, please bring an unwrapped, safe toy and we'll take it from there!

This will be great! I think it would be wonderful if we could bring a donated item for the Wake County SPCA rather than a gift exchange. Only because not all corgis play with toys and I know the SPCA is always low on items. Here's the link to the wishlist below:

That is just my two cents. I am happy with whatever everyone decides! =)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
