Sometimes we get far too swallowed up in our devices to actually sit and read a book!

This Meetup will be super simple. Join us Thursday, 2/19, when we'll sequester our devices and carve out some time to simply sit and read a book.

You can bring a book that you're reading, or feel free to make use of New Work City's library. We offer such fine reading as:

Check out this NYT article that mentions how we are culture that is "over" reading: http://tinyurl.com/cpbyrx (ironically, I didn't read the whole article) "Consumers are increasingly avoiding newspapers ? and books, too ? because the text mode is now used so infrequently that it can feel like a burden. People are showing a clear preference for a fully formed video experience that comes ready to play on a screen, requiring nothing but our passive attention."

I will bring some other books! Do people want biz books or fanciful ones? I have many letterhead and logo books that are fun to read thru. Also have ADD & Creativity, Time Management for the creative person, the Little Book of Big Packaging Ideas, The Success Principles by jack Canfield (chicken soup for soul author but GREAT book!)
