What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx.

TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is call TEDxNWC, where x=independently organized TED event. At our TEDxNWC event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.

The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

This independent TEDx event is operated under license from TED.

This event is not being organized by the TED conferences — this is an independently organized TED event.

I enjoyed the event. I wish we had more time for discussion - I hoped that after we introduced ourselves, the real conversation would start, but then we ran out of time. I did something similar before, and having some thought-provoking questions that could be perhaps discussed in smaller groups might be an interesting way to stimulate the discussion.

Nice gathering. Wish I could have stayed for the whole event.

Met a few good people, and the speech was alright. Not used to presenting, but still had good ideas -the meetup was a pretty easy way to bring important people to small group settings. The kinks can be easily worked out, and it was a lot of fun anyway. I'm looking forward to going again.
