(This event is currently full, but if you'd like to join for similar things in the future, join this group and add yourself to the wait list! We've got a lot more in the works and will use the wait list as a way of gauging interest.)
Pinterest and idea boards have been around since the 1900s, at least in painting form.
Get your creative spirit flowing while we chat about some insanely realistic art at the Metropolitan Museum in the American Collection. We’ll spend about a half an hour with works from painters who were best known for “fooling the eye” with their paintings, which bear a surprising resemblance to Pinterest-style web design.
Then we’ll move down to the American Wing Café and Sculpture garden with our laptops and continue the creative buzz for a few hours before wrapping up at the original Snap Chat craze from the late 1700s.
