Central PA Linux User Group Monthly Meeting

  • Nov 13, 2012 · 6:30 PM
  • ITT Tech, Harrisburg Campus

IPv6, that mysterious networking protocol that it seems everyone has an opinion about. It stands as one of the most misunderstood concepts in technology today.

Ever wish you could connect directly to your home computer, but figured the only way was with a public v4 address or a VPN solution? IPv6 has more to offer than 340,282,366,920,938,463,463,374,607,431,768,211,456 addresses.

System Administrator Chris Moates will be bringing these things to light in a talk on IPv6. He will start by answering the big question, "Why do I need to know this?". Then we will go in-depth and learn the many benefits of turning to the protocol.

The meeting will take place as always at ITT Tech Harrisburg Campus on September 11 at 6:30pm
