Color management is the process of calibrating your monitor, printer and camera to achieve proper color output from your equipment, whether you're viewing your images on your computer, sending them to a lab to make prints or printing yourself. This is a subject that many people find confusing but it's necessary to learn if you are a photographer or graphic designer since using a calibrated monitor is crucial to your workflow.
If you've ever tried making you're own prints, you probably got very frustrated trying to match them to your monitor. Or you may have sent files to a lab only to be disappointed in the results when you received your prints. Having the proper knowledge and equipment will save you a lot of time and money.
This workshop is designed to help everyone learn proper color-management techniques by simplifying the concepts and demonstrating camera, monitor and printer calibration using the X-Rite ColorChecker Passport, i1Display Pro and the i1Photo Pro2. Once you see the equipment in action you'll realize how easy color management can be.
