I would have to say my level of photography is amateur, or serious hobbyist. Now that I have more time to devote to photography, I am definitely setting my sights higher, though!
I enjoy almost all types of photography but haven't really tried sports or motion photography and am currently only working with available light. I would like to do more portrait work and sell more of my landscapes and florals and abstracts.
I'm willing to learn almost anything. I want to get more comfortable with portraiture and street photography because I'm just not good at "asking for the shot"!
All of the suggested activities in the question work for me.
I have a good printer, a CanonPro 9500 Mark ii but it is often unreliable. If I am making pictures for cards or for large prints I use Mpix.
My name is Debbie Payne. I have been interested in photography since going digital. I recently retired from District 20 school district and have met Mike Pach numerous times at Pine Creek. I'm looking for a local photo group to participate in.
I think this will be a great group to be a part of. Everyone was friendly and respectful of each others shooting styles. The range of knowledge is good and although we are not being actually "taught" anything as we would in a class, if people keep coming they will be picking up things that they see someone else doing that will work for them. In other words, this group can be as educational as you want it to be. Ask questions and get ideas from other people in the group.
