Washington Crossing Walk

We'll walk along the canal path on the Pennsylvania side, starting at the small parking lot off Route 532 near Taylorsville Road (just a few yards from the canal). We'll head north to the aqueduct, then turn around and head back to our starting point. It's a flat path — and easy walk. Our total time will be about an hour and a half, give or take.

About the directions: I don't totally trust the direction link. The parking lot is on Route 532 (Washington Crossing Road) just east of the intersection with Taylorsville Rd. It gives us direct access to the canal path. If you're coming from the New Hope exit off I-95, go north on Taylorsville Rd. to the light at 532. Turn right on 532, go over the little red bridge and turn left into the parking lot. If you're coming down 532 from Newtown, cross Taylorsville Rd and the little red bridge, and the lot will be on your left.

If you need to reach me Saturday morning, call my cell at[masked]-0350.

Who cares if it's a little soggy? The canal was beautiful and we had the path virtually to ourselves. Grace said it was fun to watch Mo dive in the water.

What a fun walk! Mo didn't notice the rain. He was too busy jumping in the canal and letting the duck and logs know that he was there. Woof! Woof!

It looks like I'm going to be cancelling too. Max had to get stitches earlier this week. He was fine yesterday, but after a brief walk around the block last night, he's hobbling this morning. That, combined with the rain....seems better for us to stay in today.

Bringing my newest dog, Max. We adopted him from ACCT Phila in Jan. This will be his first group walk. He's a lovable guy, but since it is my first time taking him out with dogs other than Sally, I'll be taking it slow with the introductions.

I do have to leave early; we have tickets for a soccer (football, as my husband says) game. See you then!
