WHO ARE WE; We are a group of fun, outgoing families with children mostly over the age of 2.The majority of the events will be for these ages. We encourage those with children 2 and over to join, although ALL families are WELCOME to join! The events that are age restricted, will be posted in the event description. To allow families to enjoy these events, the age restriction will be enforced! Please respect this rule. If you can laugh at yourself, then you can laugh with us. If you like to be sarcastic, joke around, play practical jokes, act like a kid and are not overly churchy, then this is the perfect group for you! If a four letter word other than poop or boob will offend you, then this is NOT the group for you! WE love to have a GREAT time, so be prepared! New in town? .We are NOT clickish and new members are treated as old friends. OUR FAMILY VALUES;
RESPECT- treating others as you would wish to be treated. Supervise your children at any and ALL events out of respect for others.
HONESTY-no reason to lie or be dishonest.
FUN FAMILIES- just be yourself, joking, playing and just being fun
RSVP EXPECTATIONS Once an event has been planned, you will need to RSVP either YES OR NO within 2 weeks of the event as this helps us plan for how many reservations may be needed.We sometime have expenses or reservations that are hard to change at the last minute.However, we do understand that life happens.
WHAT DOES RSVP MEAN TO THE GROUP?
YES- You will be attending the event. Please include the number of guests (ie: spouse, children, or others).Please answer any questions that the event requires to help us plan the event better.
NO- You will be unable to attend.We do not require a reason, unless you wish to share or you have information about the event that would cause us to reconsider the location or idea.(ie: bad location, poor service or other reasons)
***PLEASE NOTE; IF YOU FAIL TO SHOW OR CANCEL WITH LESS THAN 48 HOURS AFTER YOU HAVE RSVP'D YES, MORE THAN TWO TIMES, YOU WILL BE CANCELED FROM THE GROUP!!! ( Please call if you have an emergency and I am sure we can work something out)
OUR ACTIVITIES-
We try to schedule activities for all types of families and are ALWAYS open to ideas you have as well. We will have kids days, BBQ's, golfing, swimming, park play,splash pad, zoo, lunch dates, family night out, movies, moms night out and in , dads day or night out, parties, holiday events and other fun events we can come up with. Age restrictions will be posted in the event, so please RSVP accordingly! Any Costs will be your responsibility. Costs it will be posted in the event and is payable at the beginning of the event to the organizer or hostess or to the business establishment.
DUES & SAFETY INFORMATION
**Pictures of events will be posted on this board and belong to the organizers ONLY! NO copying ANY picture, even if it is you or a family member.Please ask an organizer for permission to copy. Failure to do so, will result in immediate removal from the group. Also, if you do not wish to have your photo taken or posted, please let us know so we can respect your privacy. Joining the group will give us permission to use your photo for group purposes only, unless you let an organizer know you wish to opt out! Email us if you would like us to send you any pictures on the site as well.If you have any pictures you have taken and would like them to be included, please email them to a coordinator.Thank you so much for respecting this rule. **WE HAD AN ISSUE WITH PHOTO THEFT, SO SORRY FOR THIS CRAZY RULE** Just trying to keep it safe.
Membership dues will be $10 per year per family. This is to pay for the Meet Up fees and if there is any left over it will be used to pay for a group event. Payments are due by February 1st of each year or within 30 days of joining. You can pay by cash,check,money order or Pay Pal.If paying by Pay Pal, please add $1 to cover the fees. Please get a receipt from either organizer for your records. Membership dues are NOT refundable as they are paid to Meet Up and they have a no refund rule.
Please email your name, home & cell phone numbers and address to the organizer.We need these so we can contact you at events and in case of emergency while you are at an event.We should know something about you for these purposes. This will also be for our members safety.This information, will NOT be used for any other purpose.If someone should need to contact you, they will be referred to the sites email member link.If email is down, I will call you to let you know that a member wants to contact you and will give you their contact information.It will be up to you to call them back, if you wish.
MEMBER EXPECTATIONS-
If you can agree to the above values and expectations, then you are welcome to join our family! Once you decide to join, we require the following for the safety and respect of the other members of the group.
1. You MUST post a picture and introduction on your meet up profile within 1 week!! No, exceptions!!
2.Promise to attend a meet-up within your first month of joining. (please contact an organizer if this is just not possible)
3. Since we want this group to be more of an extended family,you will promise to attend a meet up once every 4-6 weeks.(if this is not possible, please contact an organizer)
4. If you are a member of several groups, you may want to consider your obligations to this group or any other group you belong to, before joining ours.
5. NO sharing of personal information or group activities with other meet up groups! This leads to gossip, something we are not into!
6. YOU MUST BE ON THE MAILING LIST! I do NOT send out spam, only important group information.This is how I contact members if I have a question as well.
REASON FOR GROUP TO CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP-
1. Failure to follow ANY of the VALUES of the group
2.Conflict with others within the group
3.Inactivity
4. NO picture and/or introduction on your meet up profile.
5. As a new member, failure to attend a meet up with the first 4-6 weeks of joining
6. Non payment of dues
7.FAILURE TO AGREE TO ANY AND ALL OF THESE TERMS
**WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP IN THIS GROUP AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON**
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION-
There is NO solicitations to other meet-ups or to buy a product you might be selling!! NO, pushing people towards your religious beliefs at any meet ups! This is a fun family group for FUN, NOT for any other reason! Please contact an organizer if you have any ideas, questions or problems. NO DRAMA ALLOWED, EVER!!!! Seriously, aren't the kids enough! LOL
Thanks for taking the time to learn what we are about.We want to be considered more of an extended family than a "group" and are always welcoming more "extended family members" to join.
*Remember this is a meet up group.If you are looking for new friends and fun activities for your family and are open minded, you will have a great time.If you are not into meeting new people or are closed minded, then you probably are in the wrong group.We strive to have all 5 star events.If you are not able to mark 4 or 5 stars, then we will assume you are not having a good time. This would mean we are not the group for you. We believe there is a group for everyone and wish you the best in finding a good fit for you and your family. Of course you would need to show up to a meet up to determine this, so hey take a chance and meet up with us!

** If you are wondering why we have these expectations it is because after starting this group, we realized that it was not what we expected.We are looking for ACTIVE MEMBERS ONLY (AKA extended family members). Have you noticed other groups with 100+ members and only a few show?? We want to have a real count of members who actually come to the events. This is how you meet up with others.Don't be shy, after all A stranger is just a friend you have not met yet.
