Knitters Down South

Greetings All You Giving People

Knitters Down South would like to invite you to our Something warm for the homeless.

All we are asking from you is your time in making something.

It’s now that time of the year where we the lucky ones can haggle up in our warmer homes with a nice cup of hot chocolate NOW let’s take that time to think about those of us who are out in the cold.

The forecasters say its going to be another hash winter.

I know we all have something to give as a knitter or crocheter we can do this sitting down watching the TV do this on the bus, tub, train or come along to one of our meetups.

All we are asking that you make one item more would be fanatic.

We do overstand, because of distance, circumstances and commitment elsewhere you just may not have the time, but would like to help we will accept any surplus knitted items (believe me it HELPS) we will take all!

You can bring them down to one of our meetps.

We are aiming for 10 items each week, let’s see if we are able to do this.

We are going to keep our homeless friends warm this winter with your HELP.

We will keep this up until the warmer weather returns roll March 2014.

Oh one or maybe two things before i go, would you or anyone you know have any yarns, needles or hooks they may not have use for (anything) don’t ever think the yarn you my give to us is to little, we will make use of it.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
