46 St. James's Street, Brighton
Just a casual play reading, for fun! I've never done any acting myself (and don't have any talent at it that I'm aware of!), but am interested in reading plays with others, with people taking parts and reading it out loud; then talking about the play and what we thought of it afterwards.
Meet at the Royal Oak pub on St James Street in Kemptown (not in the lanes as google maps will tell you) at 6:30; then at 7:00 we'll go to my flat for the reading & discussion afterwards, finishing by 11 at the very latest.
Please note there is a £2 fee per person, which includes a photocopy of the play to take home with you. I'll provide squash and biscuits- anything else you fancy, drink or snack wise, please bring along. (If you bring food that needs heating up, you are welcome to use the microwave or oven; though I do share with others, so you may need to wait until the kitchen is free.)
The play is "The Caretaker" by Harold Pinter, which has three characters and three acts. I'm setting the limit at 9 people, so everyone can read for one character for one act (more if less than 9 attend). I have set up a waiting list, so if you can't make it, please update your RSVP so someone else can go.
I think that covers everything! Please let me know if you have any questions or feedback :)
Refunds are not offered for this Meetup.
