Obedience Training for Your Camera - Tuesday Edition

If you've never attended an Obedience Training for Your Camera workshop, you are invited to sit in, "kick the tires," and have some "aha moments". It's a "no obligation" visit where we discuss how to wrestle the best we can out of our camera. In a humorous nod towards dog training, we know that training is as much for the human as it is for the dog (er, camera).

We'll talk about how there are 5 predictable and distinct things that a viewer's eyes are compelled to do when looking at a photo AND that you know what they are AND that they mean the difference between merely mediocre and marvelously magnificent. That would put you in the driver's seat when deciding how and when to compose an image that is both visually and emotionally appealing, wouldn't it? Well, that's what we learn to do at Obedience Training for Your Camera.

OTFYC is a workshop series independent of MeetUp and the "Tuesday Edition" has about 6 regular, commited students, who are making noticeable, steady improvements in their photography. (So, ignore the numbers you see in the RSVP column. You'll have more company than that!

Come see why the "regulars" keep coming back. In addition to the content, it's a nice group with camaraderie.

For 8 months of the year, we meet on one Saturday per month (the 3rd Saturday), or on two Tuesdays per month (the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays). All meetings are at the Garden Ranch YMCA facility, in the conference rooms. Please RSVP for any class you wish to attend so I can advise you what to bring to enhance your learning experience; it varies according to date.

The first month is free. After that, there is a fee for this course. There are also several discounts available. (In addition to the course material, the costs cover meeting room fees, insurance and associated administrative items.)

Dave, I enjoy you and your methods alot. I love walking away with knowledge leaned and now to apply. I'm looking forward to so much more. This is a great opportunity to fine tune and put the wheels in motion. Just the "classroom" I need. I'll be at the next one.

Excellant teaching, intergrating the art and the science of photography.

I appreciate everyone's involvement and participation in kicking off these workshops after the break. I think that our transition was good and I'll work to fine tune things to create the best possible experience for everyone!

    Thanks! I enjoyed it!
