619 Prospect Lake Drive, Colorado Springs, CO
In this beginner course, I will be teaching a small group of students how to take night photos within the city. I will be doing some one-on-one instruction, so please speak up when we are in the field. I will also be giving pointers on how to adjust your settings for non-city environments. If you are unfamiliar with how to adjust your camera's aperture, shutter speed, etc, please try to at least figure out how that works before we begin. If you have an intervalometer, please bring it if you are wanting to learn how to do star trails or time lapses.
Each participant needs to bring a flashlight or headlamp, a functioning tripod, a modern DSLR and lens(es) of your choice (recommend wide-angle or primes and f/2.8 or better if possible, but not required). If your camera does not have a built in intervalometer, you might want to see about purchasing one if you plan to photograph star trails (please contact me if you have questions about that), if you’re not sure, check your camera’s manual.
You will also want to dress appropriately as we will be outdoors at night in the Winter! This means lots of layers, gloves, hat, long johns, etc.
Meet some new people, learn something new.
Once you RSVP, please email me with your REAL NAME, PHONE NUMBER, EMAIL and EXPERIENCE LEVEL and I will send you instructions for payment. Thank you! Once you pay, there are no refunds.
In the event of a storm or inclement weather, the meetup will be re-scheduled. If rescheduling is impossible, refunds will be available. I will call each one of you if that happens - that’s why I am asking your phone number.
This class is limited to 10 participants, so RSVP while you can! Payment is required within 48 hours of your RSVP via PayPal or I will remove you, I hope you understand.
