• If you've never attended an Obedience Training for Your Camera workshop, you are invited to sit in, "take a test drive," have some "aha moments"... and leave. Well, I don't mean it to sound like I want you to leave, it's just that I don't want you to feel obligated in any way.
Imagine what it would mean to you if you knew that there are 5 predictable and unique things a viewer's eyes automatically do when looking at a photo - AND that you know exactly what they are. AND that they mean the difference between merely mediocre and marvelously magnificent. That would put you in the driver's seat when deciding how and when to compose an image that is both visually and emotionally appealing, wouldn't it? Well, that's what we learn to do at Obedience Training for Your Camera.
OTFYC is a workshop series quasi-independent of MeetUp and the "Tuesday Edition" now has 6 regular, commited students, who are making noticeable, steady improvements in their photography. (So, ignore the numbers you see in the RSVP column. You'll have more company than that!
See for yourself if being my guest and investing 2 hours in your growth as a photographer is really smart. You'll find out why the "regulars" keep coming back though they are not obligated to do so. They have found that they get a great learning experience each time.
To give you an idea how helpful OTFYC is, some students have gone through the entire program and asked to continue on with more challenging assignments.
It's my job to make sure everyone gets what they come for: To learn how to consistently inject visual and emotional appeal into their images. It's that simple.
Your choice: Visit us once as a guest on the 3rd Saturday of the month – or 2 Tuesday nights of those months, January through May (see the Tuesday OTFYC event for details). Both meet at the Garden Ranch YMCA. Please RSVP for any class you wish to attend so I can advise you what to bring to enhance your learning experience; it varies according to date.
