Attention All Idealists and Rationals of Fort Myers!!
Would you rather talk about concepts and ideas than the latest movies, trends, and small talk?
Do you desire either a strong intellectual or emotional connection - or both - with the friends that you meet? This group was created for you!
Idealists are: passionate, personable, desire an emotional connection, abstract thinkers, dreamers, subjective, imaginitive, inventive, empathetic, concerned with saying the right thing at the right time to inspire or build someone up, warm, and focused on how systems directly help people.
Rationals are: logical, objective, desire an intellectual connection, abstract thinkers, inventive, brutally honest, telling it like it is as a way to give constructive criticism so that methods can be improved, and focused on the systems themselves.
This is a group for Rationals and Idealists and the people who love and appreciate them. I repeat: You DO NOT have to be a Rational or Idealist to join. Those who are not Rationals or Idealists are welcome to join the group to meet and make friends with them. If you do not know what type you are no worries! We will help you figure it out at a group meeting.
You do not have to know your type to join.
Please Note: Interest in the topics we discuss is all that is required to join us. We are a discussion group.
We love to delve into creative subjects and think outside of the box. We challenge conventional wisdom, seek truth, and inspire and motivate each other. We are few in number and have difficulty meeting like-minded people so this group was created to make it easier for us to connect.
Typical Topics of Discussion Include:
MBTI and Personality Theory
The arts - music, painting, theater - and their deeper messages
Enneagram
Emotional Intelligence
Anything to do with Self-Knowledge and Self-Discovery
Psychology
Current Events
Science
and More!!
Also you can take the test here:

If your personality type has an N in it then you are a Rational (NT) or an Idealist (NF). If you score as an S type but still feel you have the traits listed above you are the best judge of that! The test is limited so don't let it be the authority on personality types.
We have only 4 Basic Rules of the Group. They are below...
Group Rules
1. No topic is off limits
2. Be respectful of all beliefs, opinions, and perspectives. No bullying or manipulating to get someone to conform to your belief or view. State your belief & if your arguments are well put together someone is likely to embrace part or all of your views (Keep in mind that usually someone who embraces all of someone else's beliefs is not thinking for themselves! So really you don't want that). But you cannot force it upon another, it must be something they do by their own choice. Allow them to present their views in similar fashion & stay open-minded. When they present a valid point admit it. Be humbled enough to edit & alter your own views when someone presents something convincing. If you keep this attitude you will grow from the others in the group & develop a more complete perspective.
3. Arguments & Disagreements are an essential part of this group. Note: This does not mean yelling or personal attacks. Someone does not hate you if they disagree. Keep the focus away from person & onto the issue itself.
4. No rambling; keep the discussion moving & give others a chance to talk. This is not a monologue but a discussion. If you desire to present on a topic that can be the time for your monologue. Contact Brooke Snow to schedule in a presentation.
