San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers Photowalk/Scavenger Hunt

Due to adverse weather conditions,
I have altered our location for tomorrow:

Join us for our March photowalk/scavenger hunt at this beautiful location. We will meet at the Conservatory Entrance 10 am (see link below). Please be on time!

As usual, I will provide a list of ten topics to search for, in our scavenger hunt. This gives you some direction but still offers plenty of artistic freedom. After the walk, we upload our photos and it's fun to see what everyone comes up with!

Admission rates:
General Admission/ San Francisco Residents Admission (with proof of residency).
$7.00/ $5.00 for Adults
$5.00/ $3.00 for Youth ages 12-17, Seniors age 65 & over, and College Students with ID
$2.00/ $1.50 for Children ages 5-11
Free for Children ages 4 and under
(more rate info here)

Sally - Thank you for organizing this event and for finding the change in venue. Rick and I loved the Conservatory and had a great time meeting everybody!

I came a little late so I didn't see anyone nor got the scavenger list. It was my first time and I enjoyed it very much. Thank you Sally for organizing it.

This was my first meetup with this group. I really didn't "meet up" with them. I met three or four members as I was photographing (after asking several other people if they were with the group and getting a negative response, I decided to let it go).

Lovely location for a rainy day. Once again, wish more people who say they are coming would show up, but sadly, I guess I am getting used to it.

That being said, the people who DO show up for these events are friendly and sharing and pure delight. The orchids were magical and I love seeing how we all find different things to photograph. Thanks to everyone who made the effort today, it was a wonderful outing!

This was a fantastic venue and a great group of photographers. Everybody was so nice and the flowers were just gorgeous. I don't think we could have ended up a a better "back-up" place. Thanks to Sally for putting on a great event!!

I love the Conservatory of Flowers Photowalk today. It offered up unique and beautiful plants and flowers to capture through my lens. My friend had so much fun too..she loved the scavenger hunt concept. With her iPhone camera she was enchanted with the beauty of the surrounding as the rest of us. Thank you Sally for the alternate location. The weather cooperated nicely.

Thanks for organizing this event. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to meet more people there, but I met a few.

Sally that change will be awesome. My friend and I planned to add the conservatory of flowers to our day anyway. So we are in. See you tomorrow morning.

    The bottom got cut off:
    Parking
    Surrounding streets
The streets which surround the Conservatory are John F. Kennedy Drive (south) and Conservatory Drive (north, west and east). Though most parking is free within Golden Gate Park, spaces can be limited and there are time limits, usually 3 to 4 hours. Please note that on Sundays, Golden Gate Park closes many of its roads to automobile traffic. Music Concourse Garage

    Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. - 10 p.m. ($2.50/hour)

Yes, Bob. But it do said there is parking in the garage at Fulton and 10th.

This sounds promising, except for the note, "...on Sundays and all major holidays, Golden Gate Park closes many of its roads to all vehicle traffic." Do you know what the accessibility will be tomorrow?

I'd consider an indoor location. Any ideas?

Looks like we will be rained out. Anyone up for moving to an indoor location?

As of now, the event is still on. Let's see what the weather forecast is by tomorrow evening. Check back here tomorrow night for a final "yes" or "no".

Patty, I just got back from San Diego and have to check on the weather. Exhausted today. Check back here for an update and as usual, always look the night before. That's when I will make the final decision. Thanks!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
