I was introduced to spinning poi from friends out of state. I've learned some basic stuff from online videos but would much rather have some human interaction and guidance.
Not yet. In my younger years I loved performing on stage dancing and did that for about ten years. I can definitely see myself performing again.
I'd like to get better at spinning, good enough to try fire at least. I'm also interested in hooping. *Update... Levitation wands are cool too!
I am on a quest to have fun and meet people who don't feel that conforming is necessary in life.
What a wonderful group of people! Real people, who are unique and happy, who support each other and enjoy being who they are, what they are doing, and who they are with. So much talent! And they are eager to share and teach their talents to complete strangers. Always cheerful. No judgements or complaints. Helpful and friendly criticism... no not criticism, constructive suggestions to improve your own talent. A beautiful family that continues to grow, one that I'm thrilled to have found. If you want to learn something, be there on a Tuesday evening, there are extra tools and toys provided. If you want to check it out first and see what it's all about, be there at Monday night's Open Stage, the best way to show your support. I guarantee you will find yourself watching with your jaw hanging open, more than once!
