I'm just an amateur photographer and haven't been able to invest the money in a high-end digital camera, but I'm constantly surprised what the Camera Raw interface can pull out of my images. With Camera Raw 6, I've overcome the bane of my digital existence, color noise. It pulls out the color noise, but preserves the detail throughout. (I guess I won't be able to cost-justify that high-end camera to my husband after all.)
