NASA Atlas V Rocket Launch to Mars on Monday, 1:30pm at Rusty's, Cocoa Beach

There is a 60% chance "GO" for the scheduled launch on Monday, 11/18/13 at 1:28pm (2 hr window after) to send a satellite to Mars, aboard the very powerful Atlas V rocket. A great viewing place is the spacious waterfront patio at Rusty's Seafood [masked]) along Port Canaveral. The restaurant has many beers on tap and specialty drinks at very reasonable prices, and a lunch buffet for $8 if interested.

I'm sure plenty of you have to work, but if not its a great way to spend an afternoon, esp since their aren't many rocket launches these days. I'll be there, and will probably go to the beach afterwards to help complete a fun day away from the city. I look fwd to making your acquaintance.

Loved seeing you again, Casey and K! Jupiter and Dareth, great to meet you. Post-launch beach festivities were much fun. Keep in touch!

I was planning a day of seeing Florida, why not catch a launch and some seafood while I'm at it!

Jupiter, I hear you're the biggest planet, but how do I otherwise recognize you at Rusty's?

I live at Space View park in Titusville. No crowds to fight and nothing but water between the pad and here. Maybe ya'll could plan a fishing party on the pier here next launch. Great uncrowded restaurants here as well.

Thanks for the suggestion. Next launch maybe you can recommend a good restaurant at the pier near you!

So, is someone making a reservation? Should we? That would at least make it easier for people to find each other.

I'm gonna be with friends but I'll stop by and meet those who go.
