The Freethought Film Festival Foundation (FFFF) presents the feature film, That's Not Funny, a dead serious documentary about comedy*. Director, Mike Celestino asks, "How are boundaries defined in comedy? Is there a line, and if so, when is it okay to cross it? Is it in our nature to make fun of things that make us uncomfortable, topics that might otherwise be considered dire or taboo?" The film examines these questions, events and more via historical analysis, archival footage and filmmaker commentary.

Tentative filmmaker Q&A to follow the screening.

Advance reservations for this screening for guests age 21+ includes a pre-screening happy hour from 6-8 pm at The Woods (49 N. Orange Ave), with a complimentary pairing of hors d'oeuvres and beer from Cigar City Brewing. Filmmaker attendance is tentative. Reservations for the happy hour and film is a suggested donation of $12. Film screening only is a suggested donation of $10.

*The content of this film may not suitable for some viewers and is recommended for a mature audience.

I intend to attend and hope not to upend any one's preconceived notions of self and/or others. I'll have to remember to pack light, because backpacks are NOT allowed. I am not sure about purses. If purses are allowed, the theatre obviously has a problem with equal treatment of the sexes.
