Route ( http://www.bikely.com... )
Distance : 13.6 mi
We'll be riding through East Little Havana, West Flagler, Coral Gables, Coral Way, The Roads, Brickell, and Downtown.
A few very important general safety tips..
Speed: The average speed is ideally 10-14mph. Please do not exceed 14mph, this is a community ride is NOT a race.
Stopping: If you must stop to check your bike, phone, gear etc please move over to the sidewalk when it's clear. Do not stop abruptly in the middle of the street with the mass behind you. You will more than likely cause a cyclist to hit you and/or swerve and hit someone else.
Passing: A passing cyclist is responsible for the safety of the cyclist that is being passed. When passing ring a bell and/or say "on your left".
Safety Lights: Front & rear lights are required by law in the State of Florida.
Always perform an "ABC Quick" Bike Check ( http://www.sfmta.com/... ) to ensure that your bike is in safe working order.
Please, do not ride on the sidewalk.

is this ride still happeming? it stopped raining but idk if everyone is still going to go
Forecast says 60% chance of rain until 5pm, then 50% until 6pm and 30% for the rest of the night, so we should be all good. The rain gods are on our side ;)
Critical Mass is rain or shine.. if it's pouring it's likely few will show up. But don't be surprised if people show up during poor weather.. hopefully the rain stops.
The Doppler shows the current rain coming from the last few clouds that came from Atlantic... it seems to be pretty clear after that, so by 7 we should be alright. But yeah, either way, rain or shine, I'll be there.
Who wouldn't want to ride in a hard rain!!!?? I'm in, more so in rain than shine. Bring it on!!!!
For those who insist on riding their smallest gears and wearing out fast, in the back, don't forget to slow down for puddles....
im going idc if its raining or not ill ride in the rain. i could care less this is miami this is what we deal with (random rains)on a daily basis. bring ur lights helmets and be ready to get wet. people still drive in the rain we still need to go out strong and let them know that rain or shine people ride their bikes many not so many people but there are still people.
when we go over the bridge on Flagler very early in the ride.. be careful, the metal grate on bridges are very slippery.. also we will be making a right 3 blocks after the bridge (8th ave)
It's pooring in Kendall I get out of work at 6:15 I hope I make it this rain had better stop!!!!
I'm in downtown now, and the skies are getting clearer by the minute :)
Yes it did.. over 100 cyclists came out.
