Welcome to the Atlanta Crochet and Knit Meetup Group! We're glad you found us. Here is a wonderful source of crochet and knitting knowledge, learning, new ideas, and creativity in the Atlanta metro area. We have members from all over the city with varying skill in crochet and knitting. Some of us are new to the crafts, while others have been crocheting and knitting for decades! We all love what we do—and most of all—we love getting together and stitching away while we share our knowledge with others.
Crochet and knitting are very old crafts that many people find relaxing. In today's busy, computer-oriented, rush here, rush there, never enough time world, it's nice to know we can turn to crochet and knitting for some quiet time. The act of moving yarn through fingers and catching each loop with the hook or needles is very relaxing and comforting. Not only that, but in the end you have something very nice for your efforts. Time is never wasted in crochet and knitting—unless of course you must rip back and start over! But even then it's a learning
experience, and learning is never a waste of time.
The more you practice, the better you'll become, as with any skill. That's why we founded our group. It serves many purposes. First of all, it's just plain fun
to get together with other crocheters and knitters and do what we love best. We learn from one another, get new ideas, exchange patterns, and the fun never stops.
If you are interested in learning more about how to join our group, just bookmark this site and take some time to look around. Read other members' profiles and look at some of the photos here. Check out our meeting schedule, and see when you can come join us. We welcome all newcomers, for we can never have too many!
Our mission is a simple one: to promote crochet and knitting to the world in any way we can. We don't want these old crafts to become lost to the next generation. There are too many beautiful items waiting to be made, and we want to show you just how easy it is to do that.
Thank you for your interest. We're here to help you. Please help us grow by joining our group!
