CROP LUPUS OUT OF THE PICTURE CROP-A-THON
This event is something that I hold very near and dear to me. On April 17th 2004, I receive a call stating that my best friend of over 20 years had passed away. Melissa suffered from Lupus and had subcummed to this horrible disease. Melissa left behind her 3 daughters, Jessisa now 20, Casey now 18 and Megan now 15 and her husband Noel who is a NYC Detective.

- We have already been receiving all kinds of donations from scrapbooking companies. If you know of any company that would be willing to donate to our event we can provide them with a letter for tax purposes.
- We are going to have a page on The Alliance For Lupus Research so our scrappers can get sponsors. The person that raises the most money will receive a special gift from Croppers Delight.
- 100% of the proceeds from this event will go to Lupus Research

I wanted to bring Lasagna but not sure it will travel well (2 1/2 hrs) So any food ideas, I am open too. I will be leaving early because I have to be back in CT that same evening.

FYI: If anyone brings any sort of food, please make sure it is in a pan that we can put on a sterno. We have no access to a kitchen to heat anything up. We appreciate all the donations for food.. People will be eating good.

I wondered if anyone else heard about the new Cricut Cake personal cutter. It is to debut on HSN.com on April 12th. This machine does for the baking world what it did for the scrapping world. Its food safe. Time to start a cake decorating business too. lol

I am soooo excited to be the winner of the new eCraft electronic cutting system, I cannot wait to get my new "toy" and begin to play. I promise to bring it with me to the next crop after I get it and share. Thank you to everyone that donated baskets for the raffles of which I was lucky enough to come home with lots of goodies; wine, scrapbooking supplies, new ecraft machine and a $100 gift card to picaboo! There were tons of smiles, lots of laughter and many, many prizes for the raffles. This is a great group of women, always a wonderful time as well as a great stress relief!
