Volunteer @ BCSC June 28, 29 &30

The Baltimore County Sailing Center, at Rocky Point Park is hosting a Junior Olympic Regatta on June 28 and 29. They expect around 150 boats; including Hobie  Cats, Lasers, 420's and Optis. This regatta is the first of the season for these young athletes, who travel the entire East Coast to compete. If you have never seen a regatta, this will be an incredible experience.

The Center needs volunteers to help with registration, traffic control, etc.

Your Fleet Captain, Bob B needs help on Friday afternoon as well, to lay out parking stalls on land for the boats & trailers to keep things organized.

If you can help in any way, for any duration, please sign up and Bob will contact you with details.

Great pics ... thanks for posting them so those of us who couldn't attend can see what a fun event it was!

I enjoyed volunteering for the BCSC event. When I arrived I helped the ladies from BCSC at registration, and later the volunteers quickly worked together to pack sandwiches and snacks for each racing entry.

What a great place. The dance of the fleets on the water was beautiful. Interesting people, good food; happy to help at another regatta.

I would like to thank all of you who generously gave your time to help out at the Sailing Center this weekend. The competitors had a great time, especially Saturday when the winds kicked up. I was at the leeward mark and watched as they skillfully dropped the spinnakers and rounded the mark. It was a fantastic weekend for all!
    Thanks, Bob

To give you an idea of my life experience--have taught ages from pre-school through college, sponsored a senior class, led adults on tours of Baltimore, planned and worked behind the scenes for a sorority national convention, & worked on a Habitat House. I'll be happy to lend a hand wherever you need me. Friday, I am busy until 4:30. If you need someone late in the day, let me know. See y'all Saturday morning by 8:00 for sure!
