possible presentation for opensource group

I am a little outside the "open source" label, but what I do by blending
various products from various sources might be of some interest to your

I think I could put together an interesting 30 minute presentation detailing
our efforts to integrate online postage computation and purchase, a canned
web-based shopping cart, and a legacy database product. We blend all of these
resources together to operate a web-based product sales operation.

I would begin by detailing our pre-existing situation. Outline some of the
research we did into various "software solutions" to solve our issues, why we
chose to go the way we went, how we executed it, and what the outcome has
It might not be too interesting to someone writing drivers for ICs, but for
someone involved with web or database work, in could be informative.

I would not be able to do it until after the first of the year.

Subject: [opensource-88] Looking for Speakers for this month and next year

I am looking for speakers to fill the calendar slots for the upcoming
year. If you have a topic and/or a date in mind on when you would like to
present something to the group, please let me know as soon as possible.
The slots fill up quickly. My most immediate need is for a Basic Concepts
Speaker for December 2011 and January 2012. The way the meetings go, the
Basic Concepts slots are generally 40 minutes or less and the Main Speaker
slots are generally 90 minutes or less. I maintain the current schedule
out on the meetup site (
http://www.meetup...) if you want
to see what slots are available or see what topics or speakers are already
scheduled. This is your community and a chance to give back to the group
by sharing your knowledge and experience.
