The Colorado Springs Open Source Software Meetup Group Message Board › UML Diagramming Tool based on open source tech.
|A former member||
My business partner and I recently launched PlantText.com a text-based UML diagramming tool. It is based on PlantUML which is an opensource project that has been around for a while.
We’re looking for feedback in the areas of general usability, needed features, and anything else you can think of.
We’re planning on connecting it with Google Docs soon to simplify saving files, managing versions, sharing files, and simultaneously collaborating.
In the long run, we’d like to create a feature for translating the diagrams directly from and to programming languages. The idea would be that after you were satisfied with your diagrams, you could automatically translate it into C#, java, whatever. Or, if you were double checking code to make sure it matched the diagrams, you could translate back into a UML diagram and compare.
I really appreciate the help. We’re trying to create something of real value for the software development community and your feedback is critically important and valuable.
If there is enough interest, we’d be happy to come present, as were just up the road in Denver.
