Re: [css-56] Keep our meetup going

Leaders of groups can get burned out for a lot of reasons, and many
times its not related to lack of interest or even being too busy. The
amount of "input" and incoming email can be quite overwhelming. Many
people are very interested in providing "opinions" and "advice" but
are not interested in the day-to-day chores.

In the 2 groups I run and 2 groups I help organize, I have learned
that if someone offers their opinion, or offers to help do something
and then does not do it, it has a very significant negative impact on
everyone -- especially the organizer.

There are a lot of "You should do XYZ ... " people out there, and very
few "I can help by doing XYZ" people. Those things get old, and
organizers who don't manage that kind of input end up burned out in a
short period of time.
