Don't scratch and let it run its course. If I think I was exposed I was in rubbing alcohol and then take a hot shower. I did not get a chance to do that this time and I am fine. Maybe overtime barefoot hiking I am building up tolerance. I did find 3 deer ticks on me.

Great. My first time hiking barefoot. Very different than wearing boots. Much cooler and you feel different temperatures and textures on your feet.

Very nice meeting everyone on the hike - first-time barefooters, veteran barefooters, and shod hikers alike. Dave was a cordial guide.

Had a great turnout. Nice place to spend a hot day, in the cool woods. Four of us went for lunch and ice cream after the hike.

I got there late and when I found the group I though it best to spent some time alone with my dog, didn't stay too long mosquitoes and heat. Hope you all enjoyed it!

Please note that the wallingfordlandtrust link above says "page not found." And the map link above directs to a cul-de-sac in Windsor Locks, not Wallingford. From Larry's directions below and Google Earth I believe the meeting point for this hike is at the cul-de-sac at the end of Barnes Industrial Park North Road which is off Rte. 68. Is this correct?
