Enjoyable and practical. The instructors were kind and helpful and the participants were fun and respectful. I had a great time!

I thought it was great! Professional, fun, and u work as hard you want, a lot, or a little. I worked a lot and learned a lot. I learned things that could, one day, save my life. I am going back with this group for more. And they handled different levels of capability very well. Those in the class who were experienced in martial arts learn differently than those who have no martial arts experience and no athletic experience. What was impressive was that everyone in the class, by the end of one class, could better defend themselves, at any level.

Weather report looks good so far. Lets hope for no rain. Cancelled if it rains?

    1 · September 28, 2012

    • Mark Anthony Ly

Weather reports no rain. So we'll set up camp in Central Park. It'll be mostly sunny anyway.

I do not have anY equipment yet is it ok to wear jeans and sneakers?

    September 28, 2012

    • Mark Anthony Ly

      Hey Arlene!

That's perfectly fine, we'll supply the equipment if the you do not have any. Whatever attire you feel comfortable in is perfectly fine as well, just remember that you might be sweating so make sure that you're comfortable in the jeans.

Do you recommend bringing/wearing a protective cup? What about shin guards? Hand wraps? Fingerless/MMA Gloves? Mouthpiece?

    September 28, 2012

    • Mark Anthony Ly

Hey Phil, You don't need a cup. Shin guards and hand wraps are also unnecessary. Just bring a pair of boxing gloves or MMA gloves if that's all you have. No mouthpiece either. We won't be smashing any skulls in :)

      September 28, 2012

  • Mark Anthony Ly

    Hey everybody!

If you have gloves please bring them to the event as that would free up more equipment for others to use. Any type of boxing gloves would work, regardless of size and weight.

We'll have staff waiting at the corner of 84th and 5th ave next to the MET so just look for a black HENRYLY shirt (which we'll post up in shortly) and they'll bring you to location within Central Park.

Also, if you have any questions or can't find us when you're there, please feel free to text/call us at [masked] on Saturday.

We'll keep you guys posted tomorrow and Saturday morning!

Any questions, definitely feel free to ask!

      Hey Rich,

      September 18, 2012

    • Mark Anthony Ly

Those are actually focus mitts, and not at all. It was a different drill we were running at the time.

And come on by and you'll see! Guaranteed you won't be let down.

I hve gloves but, they're in storage. But, I hve padded weight gloves @ hme. Wld the weight gloves be ok? Thank-you.

    September 16, 2012

    • Mark Anthony Ly

It should be completely fine. But just to double check, how much do they weigh?

      September 16, 2012

  • Mark Anthony Ly

Hey Alberto, If you have gloves, bring them! If not, that's perfectly fine as well. We have limited equipment to supply everyone so if you do have gloves that's great!

In regards to the attire, anything that you feel comfortable in, is more than adequate enough.
