Met some new people. Everyone is very nice, and they are bright. Good conversation. Dynamic guest speaker. (This was my reaction to the Glastonbury Humanist group after my first meeting.) The now-forming Greater Hartford Humanist chapter shows promise as a group that will be socially beneficial and fulfilling for its members.

People who are curious about us should visit our website, www.cthumanist.org. Although the organization has gotten a fair number of new friends through the social dinners, I would recommend someone unfamiliar with us try several different kinds of events before making up your mind about us!

People come because they enjoy each other's company (and the refreshments!) and the programs are generally worth attending and almost always stimulate a lot of discussion and private conversation.
