This year's General Assembly of the Unitarian-Universalist Association will be held in Providence, Rhode Island from June 25 to June 29. HUUmanists, the UU Humanist Association, will be holding several events on Friday, June 27 in Hall D of the Rhode Island Convention Center:

- "Schempp Schindigg" ~ A Celebration of a Hero of Separation of Church & State

The invitation says: "We will keep the annual meeting as brief as possible and it will be followed immediately by the "Schempp Schindigg" where we will celebrate the lifetime achievements of separation of church & state activist Ellery Schempp, recipient our 2014 Religious Humanist of the Year award. This event is open to the public and invitations are being sent to all area Humanist and secular groups. We will hear from Ellery and representatives from the American Humanist Association and Americans United for Separation of Church and State. There will be refreshments and a cash bar."
The other events may require registration for the General Assembly.
