Fireside Chat with Steve Milton, CTO of PlaceIQ, and many other startups

This month we have a fireside chat with a very experienced startup CTO (more than six different times!), Steve Milton.

Steve is currently Co-founder & CTO at PlaceIQ, one of NY's most rapidly growing startups (that BTW ridiculously cool tech).   Steve has been building technologies and leading teams for over 20 years.   I am sure everybody will learn something from Steve.

Steve Milton has a proven track record of incubating new technology companies and leading them through successful growth. His background in enterprise, Internet, large data analytics and geospatial information systems led to the technical vision for PlaceIQ. He has developed novel software solutions in several industries and worked with a great variety of “Big Data”. In the early 90′s Steve was one of the first 20 employees at Trilogy. In the late 90’s Steve helped architect a Web 1.0 content portal and purchasing transaction system. Later he was a founding member of and built a highly acclaimed consumer retail site. After the Internet boom, Steve immersed himself in Big Data. He joined the management team at Nuance where he helped scale the development and deployment of voice recognition systems. Next, he helped a bioinformatics startup build its core data capture and data analysis platform. After that, he incubated a startup in the insurance claims processing and appraisal space. And most recently he led software and systems development at Digital Globe — owner of the world’s largest earth imagery database.

After the event, as always, we'll go to a local bar for further conversation and hanging out.

One of the best meetups groups I ever visited in various countries.
Attended 3 last sessions. 2 of them were extremely good.
Really enjoyed event yesterday, thank you!

Marathon fireside chat, without the distracting fireside. Excellent ending to an exciting year in technology!

Clicking on the Pivotal Labs (New Office) takes me to a map which shows a location in Brooklyn, zipcode 11215. Has Pivotal Labs moved to Brooklyn?

That's a bug in the maps. Remove the floor from the address, and you will see the correct location.

I think I corrected it - substituted with actual coordinates. It's on 6th Avenue (West Side), between 18th and 19th street. See you there!
